Gerardo Corrales Brenes

Gerardo Corrales Brenes, Former Vice President, BAC San Jose, Costa Rica. He has extensive experience in the banking and finance area.

He was for 16 years the General Manager of BAC San José and the executive vice president of Grupo Financiero BAC Credomatic. For several years he was the director of the Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of the Private Business Sector (UCCAEP), he also served as the director of the Costa Rican Stock Exchange and as director and president of the Costa Rican Banking Association.

In 2004 he received the Manager of the Year award from the Chamber of Commerce, and ten years later he also received the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the newspaper El Financiero. On two occasions at the bank he worked for, he was recognized as the best bank in Costa Rica. He currently serves as a professor and lecturer at INCAE Business School and LEAD University.
